CarIPI participates in a workshop on the Hague System in Jamaica

CarIPI collaborated with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) in conducting a sub-regional workshop on the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs, in Kingston (Jamaica) on 4-5 March 2020. The workshop aimed to build capacities in the region on international design protection. The activity contributed to enhance legal and policy frameworks in the area of designs, a direct goal of the CarIPI project.

Participants included representatives from the IP Offices of Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago, who are in the process of joining the Hague System. Representatives from Belize and Suriname, which are already members of the System, also attended the workshop. Design experts from WIPO and EUIPO facilitated the discussion.
