Participation of Georgian, Moldovan and Ukrainian IP officials in EUIPO's 5th IP Case Law Conference

On 29-30 April, a delegation of selected IP experts and officials from Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, will visit the premises of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante. Participation of these representatives to the 5th IP Case Law Conference (IPCLC 2024) organised by the EUIPO Boards of Appeal is facilitated by the EU4IP project. During this visit, a meeting will also be organised between representatives of the Moldovan Observatory on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (Moldovan Observatory) and from UANIPIO and Sakpatenti together with the European Observatory on the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights to share synergies and identify opportunities for cooperation within the EU4IP project.

This visit follows the EU4IP fact-finding mission to Moldova on 20-22 February and subsequent meetings with Georgian, Moldovan and Ukrainian stakeholders on 25-26 March during the inaugural visit, as well as meetings with the Moldovan Observatory. During these meetings, interest was expressed in attending the IPCLC 2024 for further training and capacity building. Conferences such as the IPCLC 2024 allow IP experts to build on their respective jurisdictions and discuss the latest developments in IP case law. Other Georgian, Moldovan and Ukrainian IP officials are also invited to the IPCLC 2024 and will participate in the conference online.
