Alignment of Common Practices with the European Union Intellectual Property Network

The European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN) has created several common practices ensuring that applications for trade mark and design registrations, as well as examination, are consistent across EU national and regional IP offices. Besides those adopted in 2020, Sakpatenti has expressed interest in exploring the adoption of new trade mark and design practices available for non-EU IP offices.

The EUGIPP will cooperate with Sakpatenti throughout the assessment of these practices and will support their implementation should they be adopted. The EUGIPP will provide translation support to publish and promote the Common Practices in Georgian for IP stakeholders.
